We live in a non-stop, workaholic world that fries our brains and leads to burnout. Even though paid leave became a basic right (starting in France in 1936!), we often mess it up. We try to cram in tons of mini-trips chasing deals and new experiences, only to end up checking work emails at the airport and feeling wrecked when we get back.
The point of leave – real rest and recovery – gets totally lost. Science proves proper time off (especially longer, chill stretches around 8 days) boosts our mood, brainpower, and health.
So, it’s not just about taking your days off, but actually unplugging and resting properly. Plan some solid downtime for a real reset, sprinkle in short breaks, and come back actually refreshed – it’s better for everyone!
