The construction of the Banja Luka-Prijedor highway begins

As reported by RTRS, this is the beginning of the realization of the project for the construction of the first phase of Banja Luka-Prijedor 42 km long highway.

The ‘Highways of Republika Srpska’ stated that this highway, as an integral part of the network of highways and expressways in Republika Srpska, will be built on the basis of a concession agreement reached by the Government of Srpska with the Chinese company Shandong High-Speed International.

In the period 2017 – 2019, the JPM team, led by Senior Partner Dr Jelena Gazivoda, together with Partners Ivan Petrović and Nikola Djordjević, have been providing a broad range of legal services, related to the preparation of the offer/bid of the Concessionaire parent company and negotiations on aforementioned concession contract for the first section of one of the largest infrastructure projects in the southeast Europe and the first highway concession project in the Republic of Srpska. The highway section would consist of seven tunnels and 35 bridges, three interchanges, and the infrastructure for a closed system of the toll payments as well as the system for traffic safety management and control.
