Mandatory Branch Incorporation

The Company Law in Serbia requires registration of company branches but does not clearly mandate incorporation.

Mandatory branch registration aimed to improve the monitoring of tax, employment, and social policies. The law defines a branch as organizationally independent, so locations without such independence may not qualify for mandatory registration. However, lawyers disagree on whether it obligates establishing a branch at every location.
