JPM participated at the first GC Summit: South East Europe 2019, held in Sofia on October 16, 2019.

JPM participated at the first GC Summit: South East Europe 2019, held in Sofia on October 16, 2019, where discussions took place on the roles, challenges and opportunities that General Counsel in the region face.

The event was jointly organized by Legal 500 and law firm Penkov, Markov & Partners from Sofia, Bulgarian member of Lex Mundi, the world’s leading network of independent law firms.

Other Lex Mundi members participating in the summit were Nagy és Trócsányi from Hungary, CERHA HEMPEL from Austria, Pekin & Pekin from Turkey and Chrysostomides from Cyprus.

JPM  Partner Ivan Milošević was panel speaker on the subjects of “Understanding and overcoming data protection and cybersecurity challenges and financial crime”. Our Managing director Nemanja Stepanovic held a presentation on “Legal work in the future – an AI tool for due diligence “.

The most prominent in-house counsels from the leading companies in the region participated in GC Summit: South East Europe 2019 discussing their changing roles as in-house leaders and the challenges, issues, and opportunities they are facing in 2019 and beyond.

Between comprehensive panel discussions and the opportunity to meet and engage with fellow in-house counsel, GC Summit: South East Europe proved to be a practical, forward-looking event bringing together the region’s top legal minds.
